Wow... Done alot in the past few weeks including moving, buying a car, sorting insurance, buying a new monitor, buying headunit and speakers, continuing driving lessons and more, so rather than putting them all into indivual news reports I might as well put them all in this one!

Moved
I have now moved from "Sunny Devon" to a little village called Broad Town just outside Swindon in Wiltshire. The move, although always planned, came a little earlier than expected due to a "minor" disagreement between me and my mum that ended up with us both agreeing I should move as soon as possible so I did as of last Sunday! Settling in well, just getting round to do all the bits and pieces that need doing! Still planning to come back to Devon regularly to see family and friends and should be a whole lot easier once I pass my driving test (more below)!

Car Buying
After much searching in Devon for a sutible car for me and only finding complete rip-offs or idiots who never ring back once deals have been struck, I decided to start looking in and around Wiltshire for one and to my suprise there was a very wide selection to choose from seeing as I was being very specific and wanting a Ford Escort! Ended up finding a car for £995 with 10 months MOT, Service History, 1996 Plate, Power Steering etc etc which compared to others didn't sound like a bad deal at all, also came from a Ford Dealer so knew it wouldn't be a rip off, after talking to the dealer managed to get a new tyre fitted, 7 days free insurance and he would go and tax it for me so it was ready to drive when I went to pick it up. So now its all mine! Driven it quite a few times and doesnt seem bad at all for a 1.6i.

Gambling
I have spent most of my life, like many other people gambling every now and then whether it be fruit machines, the lottery or the odd scratch card but never really played that much to win anything. As I moved to where I live now there wasn't much to do initially as I hadn't got all my stuff with me so I signed up to the National Lottery website and started to play a few instants on there, ended up winning £30 odd quid and it stopped me from playing anymore because I had reached my daily limit so I spent all of it on tickets for the National Lottery (which turned into £0!), so I decided to find another site and stumbled accross one called JackPotJoy and put in a tenner and they matched it for me so had £20 to play with. I started to play and kept atleast breaking even for the next few days, always winning back what I had put in then. Then on about the third day I was about £20 down and put in another £20 which I thought was a bit foolish, but continued anyway, and I managed to build up a total of £90 profit! I treated my Dad and Step-mum to some kebabs and after eating them decided to play again and stuck in another tenner and managed to build up my total for £50 but then continued to play loosing it all and came down to about £11 thinking I was going to loose again and suddenly I won the top prize, 1000 times what I had bet, I won £500!! I transfered that back to my credit card and continued playing with another £11 and managed to win anothe £110! So after taking into account what I had spent and how much I had won I was up by £690! So that paid for just over two thirds of my car! Woo!

Head Unit & Speakers
With the win I had during the week in mind at the weekend I started shopping around for some audio equipment to put into my car which I was going to buy anyway but now I could go for a little bit extra. Ended up purchasing a Pioneer DEH-P8600MP headunit and some VIBE SA-K60 speakers for the rear of my car (do some searches on the net if you want to know some specs, but they kick ass!). Also bought all the conversion leads and speaker hole converters as well so that I could be up and ready with a semi decent sound system (minus a sub at this point in time) as soon as possible.

Monitor
I have had the same CTX 17 inch NON flat screen CRT (big boxy bast*rd) monitor for about 3 years or more now and I didn't realise how much it pissed me off until I had been using my dads computer which has a 19 inch flatscreen TFT monitor for about a week and then went back to using mine, it was horrible! I did some more shopping around and have had my eye on an LG monitor for a while, found a 19 inch on eBay for £189.99 + £15 P&P that was 4 months old which I thought was a resonable price, until I went to find out how much it was worth and saw that Currys were doing an online deal for the same monitor at £189.99 plus FREE delivery and of course it was brand new, so out came the credit card and it should now be arriving tomorrow!

End Comment
Well thats the end of my news for now, missed out the odd bits and pieces but it would end up being even more tedious to read than it currently is! Will be posting more often now so there isn't such a need for articles this long!

What Happened This Weekend?!
16th August 2006
This last weekend ended up being a bit random to say the least and it all started off in little old Swindon on the Friday night where me, Matt and Damien were all out drinking (cept I wasn't as much being the driver!) and it got to about 12 and we left the pub and Damien asked 'So where to now guys?' and...
